Our Current and past
Project Implementation
Learning Squared is a dynamic organization dedicated to improving education and community development in Liberia. Over the years, the organization has implemented various impactful projects, making a positive difference in the lives of individuals and communities. We have a rich history of successfully implementing projects that have addressed key educational and community challenges.

These past initiatives have focused on areas such as revolving, loan for women and girls, strengthening community engagement teacher training, curriculum enhancement, and access to quality education. We do this by collaborating with local partners, government agencies, and community stakeholders.
Support Children's Education in Liberia Project
Location: Bomi, Lofa, Cape Mount, Bong, Margibi, Bassa, and Montserrado counties

Learning Squared is of the country's leading girl and child-centered organizations. To reach marginalized children, we work in Bomi, Margibi, Bong Bassa, Lofa, Cape Mount, and Montserrado. In addition, we collaborate with various government institutions, CSOs, schools, and local and national partners to improve learning outcomes for children and young people in Liberia. The project primarily focused on increasing community capacity to support children's education and increasing community demand for quality and affordability education.
​Back to School Book Ride
Location: Bomi, Lofa, Cape Mount, Bong, Margibi, Bassa, and Montserrado counties

Project Duration: 2015- Present,
The program is designed as a practical solution to support students at the beginning of the school year. The program is a month-long back-to-school book ride across communities and schools, distributing school supplies and learning materials, notebooks, pens, and pencils to underprivileged students and community schools. Many vulnerable and underserved children whose families cannot afford to keep them in school lack books and supplies for the school year. The book ride will assist many parents facing financial difficulties and can't afford increased tuition and other school-related expenses.
​Teacher Training Initiative, a project in partnership with Teaching Training Together (TTT-Liberia)

Project Duration: 2015- Present,
This project is a one-year professional learning certificate program for school leaders and teachers and supports the parent-teacher association (PTA). Under the theme: Improving the Quality of Teaching and Learning Through Teacher Continuous Professional Learning.
Delivering Peace Dividends in Liberia: Consolidating National, Regional, Local Reconciliation and Social Opportunities
Location: Lofa and Nimba Counties
Sponsor: UNDP Peace Building Fund and UNDP with support from NAYMOTE, Partner for Democratic Development
Project Duration: 2022-2023
This project aimed to empower communities to reduce conflict and promote social cohesion. It supports the County Reconciliation Plan's priorities by raising awareness in conflict-prone areas, supporting women and youth groups, and identifying social and economic projects to enhance peace. The beneficiaries of these projects will participate in their implementation, with the goal of promoting peace and social cohesion in Lofa and Nimba Counties
Supporting Education and Livelihood Activities in Liberia
Location: Margibi and Montserrado Counties

Project Duration: 2021-2023
This project’s goal is to help rural women, whose children are part of our scholarship program, reduce poverty and improve household income security in a sustainable way. Additionally, we aim to enhance access to rural financial services and provide livelihood services and seed funds to women in three communities and three schools across two counties in Liberia.
Promoting Accessible and Effective Civic Education in Liberia
Location: Gbarpolu County
Sponsor: DI -Democracy International and the United States Agency for International Development -USAID
Project Duration: 2022-2023
The project aims to improve civic participation and civic duty among citizens in Gbarpolu County, with a special focus on youth, women, and marginalized groups. The project will engage six communities in the county and ensure that even the most deprived and disenfranchised communities can participate through county-level mobilization. LSL will work with various groups, including youth, women, persons with disabilities, and traditional leaders, to educate them on civic roles, rights, and responsibilities.
YAC in Kind Grant

The goal is to enhance citizens, especially first-time voters informed participation in the upcoming 2023 General and Presidential Elections in Bopolu town, Gbarpolu County. Through this intervention, we aim to increase voter turnout and promote informed participation.
